RIP Meadowlark Lemon

I recently learned that George "Meadowlark" Lemon who played 24 Seasons for the Harlem Globetrotters as the "Clown Prince of Basketball" passed away at the age of 83. I had the pleasure of seeing him in action the first time I went to a Harlem Globetrotters game back in 1978 and have been going to see them every year at Madison Square Garden ever since. Little did I know at the time that my first game would be in his final season. He was a great showman who will be missed and I'm sure his one time teammate, Marquis Haynes, who passed away in May, will be waiting at the gates with a basketball under his arm. Rest In Peace, Meadowlark.
